Photographer Shiv Kiran H H Picasa 2016:05:12 12:53:37 05:30 Shiv Kiran (c)BHAGYASHRI PATKI 0220 Project 365 is an initiative by Ekalokam Trust for Photography that collectively creates and preserves photographic visuals of the fast vanishing culture, lifestyle, landscape of South Indi. The first phase of the Project was organized at Tiruvannamalai, an ancient town in Tamil Nadu. The second phase of the project will create visuals of the ancient tri-sangam ports Tyndis, Muziris and Korkai. The third phase of the project will create visuals of the Cauvery River and its surrounding river valley civlisation. The project 365 Tiruvannamalai (August 2014 – August 2015) with more than 25 photographers has been successful in capturing visuals of the fast vanishing culture and lifestyle of this ancient town.The year-long project has visually recorded the Annamalai hill and the circumambulatory fourteen kilometre road that continue to keep alive a millennia-old Saiva tradition throughout the year. The public photo-art archive has a collection of about 3000 photographic images of Tiruvannamalai. Each contributing photographer has worked on their individual projects using diversified traditional and modern photographic techniques and processes. Project 365 is led by contemporary Indian photographer Abul Kalam Azad.
